Wendy Snider

With Over 25 years of teaching dance, and choreographing hundreds of pieces, dance is truly Wendy Snider's passion.

Since the ripe old age of 2 she has been performing and sharing her gift with others.
While studying at Ann Clark's School Of Dance and Dancer's Creative Workshop in Fayetteville, NC, Wendy learned the arts of ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, pointe, hip hop, pom, and lyrical dance and went on to teach at a very young age.

While in the Dance Company at Dancer's Creative Workshop, she performed in Walt Disney World, New York City, and Charleston, SC.
While on tour, she took part in Disney Performing Workshops and trained several times at the famous studio, Steps On Broadway in NYC.

While in high school, Wendy was a member of "Modern Moves" Dance Team and also a member of the drama team there. Upon graduation, she attended UNC at Greensboro and studied dance.
Over the years, teaching dance and sharing her passion has been her dream.

As the owner of Steps On Main Dance Studio for 12 years, she was given the honor and pleasure to utilize her talents and not only teach dance but take part in being a friend and a mentor for her students.
Several award winning competition teams sprung out of her studio and many previous students have now gone on to follow their dreams of a career in dance or performing arts.

As well as arranging several numbers for her home church, Providence Wesleyan, Wendy has also had the opportunity to choreograph several musicals for High Point Friends Meeting, such as Samson, Noah and The Rainbow Express, Ezekial, and Fiddler On The Roof where thousands of dollars have been raised for clean water in Africa.
Through the Lord's help, many charity shows at Christmas have benefited less fortunate families in our area over the years under the umbrella of Steps On Main Dance Studio.

Homeschooled families have also been able to partake in a co-op environment where Wendy has been teaching dance and elementary drama. As a homeschool mom, herself, she realizes the importance of bringing children up in a loving and nurturing environment with old time values.

Her experience has also taken her into the public school setting and local daycares to teach all children the wonderful world of dance. A dream is to reach all the children she can, no matter what background, and teach them the art and appreciation of dance.

Wendy is excited to be back as a member of The Arts Academy family and ready to instill a love for dance into each of her students!
